This initiative was launched with the aim to bring all its students together, irrespective of geographical locations in order to have the opportunity to collaborate, share critical dialogue and innovate creative solutions to their joint real-life problems.[\/vc_column_text]

Beaconhouse is continuing to unite young communities around the world to support them in creating their own network of learning and collaboration through the Global Projects initiative.<\/blockquote><\/div>

    [\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]The Beaconhouse Online Global Projects provides students with an opportunity to use both synchronous and asynchronous online collaboration to promote interdisciplinary learning and sharing of unique ideas and experiences.<\/p>\n

    In the second round of Beaconhouse Global Projects, Beaconhouse aims to promote social entrepreneurship and consciousness by encouraging young adults (ages 14 – 18) to work together to find solutions that will create a positive social impact, while ensuring that student agency and student voice are\u00a0 at the forefront of the\u00a0 Beaconhouse Global Projects.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” full_height=”yes” disable_custom_paddings_tablet=”true” disable_custom_paddings_mobile=”true” css=”.vc_custom_1623646290633{background-color: #1fc5e6 !important;}” el_id=”rational_text”][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

    Rationale<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    [\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Over the last two decades the term \u201csocial entrepreneurship\u201d has emerged as a recognizable field in development work with young people. This growing interest began in the 1980s with the emergence of two schools of practice that aimed to invest in young people to promote positive social change and innovative solutions that can be sustained and replicated. (UNICEF: Adolescents and Civil Engagement: Social Entrepreneurship and Young People, 2007)<\/em><\/p>\n

    Beaconhouse Global Projects aim to focus on social entrepreneurship in youth and highlight the importance of this approach in contributing towards the development of critical skills and competencies of young people to positively engage in society, exercise leadership and become involved in social change.<\/p>\n

    Through global learning, we aim for students to become informed, open-minded, and responsible people who are attentive to diversity across the spectrum of differences. Additionally, the aim is for students to understand how their actions affect both local and global communities, and address the world\u2019s most pressing and enduring issues collaboratively and equitably[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” full_height=”yes” css=”.vc_custom_1618224476897{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”][vc_column]
