The World Health Organization defines mental health as a state of wellbeing, in which the individual realizes their abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and can contribute to their community.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students undergo a major life transition as they prepare for high school and subsequently launch into the adult world. This transition is a moment when students become more aware and conscious of their surroundings and start their quest of finding meaning and purpose in life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The quest for meaning is an innate human need and our sense of purpose is the principal environment for fulfilling that need. When individuals are pursuing a profound purpose that is personally important to them, they experience significant positive effects.\u00a0 These outcomes include increased levels of commitment, empowerment, satisfaction, and a sense of fulfilment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Studies find that there is a strong connection between well-being and purposeful life. People who believe their activities are more meaningful also tend to be healthier. This Requires a conscientious thought on how we produce and consume our everyday consumable items, especially the supplies of our wardrobes. Unlike the seventies and eighties, when most of the fashion items were themed classical and of high quality to endure through the years, the fashion designers now are campaigning trends of fast fashion. In the pursuit of higher sales and big profits, the fashion industry is diligently working for the availability of the latest fast trends at cheap costs. While there is no such thing as \u2018eco-friendly clothing\u2019, our giant footprints are posing a serious threat to environmental sustainability to the planet Earth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This project will focus on the \u2018Sustainable Fashion Movement\u2019 that originated from Rachel Carson\u2019s book Silent Spring 1962 till it became a worldwide voice to follow sustainable fashion trends as the social responsibility. This project is aligned with <\/span><b>SDG 9<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, one of the most audacious goals of UNDP for the year 2030.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Although the importance of the handicraft industry has been acknowledged by the UN long before, however, this sector has undergone several challenges such as industrialisation and globalization, consequently, the artisans were incapable of competing with the well-organised industrial unit and had to sell their products at lower prices.
